Congratulations to this year's Cardboard winners!

Thanks to Gerry Mounsey for slide show of our annual cardboard regatta. Thanks to the record number of entrants and to the 100's who cheered them on! See you in 2011

Ericson Marine sponsors the annual Cardboard Boat Races during Algonquin's July Founders Days.

First prize is $100, 2nd prize is $75 and
3rd prize is $50.

Each team is provided about 180 sq. ft. of cardboard, 1 Stanley knife, 3 rolls of duct tape, and 2 hours to build the boat.

The team then must paddle out about 200 ft to the middle of the river around the buoys and the first, second and third that make it back to shore win the prizes!

The Fire Dept will be in the water watching for anyone in distress.
